Ashanti is an American singer and songwriter who achieved early success by being a part of two smash hits. In 2002, she was featured on Fat Joe’s “What’s Luv?” and Ja Rule’s “Always on Time,” both of which became two of the biggest songs of the year. Ashanti was the first female artist to hold the top two spots on the Billboard Hot 100. Building off this accomplishment, she soon released her self-titled debut album which earned her several awards, including eight Billboard Music Awards, two American Music Awards, and a Grammy Award. The album has been certified triple platinum in the U.S., its lead single “Foolish” reaching the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100. Ashanti announced her sixth studio album in 2018, releasing the first single, “Say Less.”
